dwp | design worldwide partnership, a leading international architecture and design firm with decades of experience in Thailand and globally, was tasked with the transformation of Starbucks Thailand’s headquarters located over two floors of Exchange Tower, Bangkok. dwp designed and built a modern workplace aligned with Starbucks mission and culture of nurturing human connection.
Ms. Kanidtha Pattanapanitchakul, Design Director at dwp | design worldwide partnership shared, “We have adopted new design thinking in creating workspaces that align with the shift that companies are making towards hybrid office designs — a trend that’s rapidly gaining popularity. These spaces go beyond being just workplaces, they strongly support collaboration and human connection, which is becoming a primary objective of the modern workplace. The Starbucks Thailand headquarters also features complete amenities to support associated brands such as Yakiniku Like, Shake Shack, Cheesecake Factory, and other emerging brands.”
“dwp design team gathered detailed input from Starbucks employees to ensure the space meets everyone’s needs. The result is a unique workspace that blends a reception, bar, and work cafe / collaboration area, strategically placed in the center as an accessible connection point for all, with a new stair introduced to enhance connectivity between the two floors.”
Ms. Kanidtha added, “We designed each area to be flexible, allowing spaces to adapt to a range of activities and meet the need for multi-functional use. A large multi-purpose area / training space with a moveable wall is located beside the work cafe, so the whole space can be opened up to create a townhall for everyone. This versatility is paired with a distinctive element — Starbucks artwork which enhances the space, adding visual comfort and a uniquely vibrant atmosphere. Environmentally friendly materials were selected, including acoustic panels and acoustic ceiling baffles, adding refined details that reflect the aesthetic of this world-class brand.”
