Metro Connect Company Limited (MCC) partnered with IBM Thailand to organize a seminar titled “Transforming Industries with watsonx’s AI-Powered Solutions” on March 27, 2025, at Hotel Nikko Bangkok. The event was opened by Mr. Varuch Rattanatumma, Assistant Vice President of Metro Connect, followed by expert-led sessions covering various IBM AI solutions.
Mr. Tawan Soonthornarom, Presales Specialist at Metro Connect, presented on “Empower Your Business with IBM watsonx”, highlighting how data and AI are at the heart of digital transformation. He emphasized that businesses leveraging AI effectively will gain a competitive edge. His session introduced the IBM watsonx suite:
• watsonx.ai for AI model development,
• watsonx.data for data management, and
• watsonx.governance for transparent AI governance.
These solutions allow organizations to build, deploy, and manage AI-driven business models easily and securely. IBM’s AI-powered solutions accelerate workflows, enhance data analysis, and improve operational efficiency. Mr. Tawan also shared strategies for businesses to adopt AI for long-term sustainable growth.
Mr. Tanut Karnwai, Partner Technical Specialist – Territory at IBM Thailand, delivered a session titled “IBM Generative AI Solutions, Contributing $3 Billion in Productivity by the End of 2024”. He presented IBM’s real-world use cases—not only as a solution provider but as a user of AI technology. Using the IBM watsonx platform and Generative AI, IBM has transformed its internal operations through automation, improved decision-making, and optimized resource management. These innovations have reduced costs, increased agility, and added significant value to IBM and various other industries, spanning software development, customer support, and enterprise management. In 2024, this transformation helped IBM generate $3 billion in business value.
