World Expands Proof-of-human Verification Nationwide Through Strategic Partnership with JIB, Strengthening Thailand’s Cybersecurity Infrastructure

  • World ID’s proof of human verification services became available in Bangkok earlier this year, allowing people to prove they are real humans online (and not bots or AI).
  • With over 42 billion baht ($1.2 billion) already lost in online scams in 2024, according to Anti Online Scam Operation Center (AOC)[1] This nationwide expansion aims to increase online trust and fortify Thailand’s digital future.

Bangkok, June 4, 2025 – World, the global public utility and human identity network, continues its mission to build a “Proof of Human” for the internet. In its latest move, the protocol, through its official local operator M Vision Public Company Limited (MVP), announced a partnership with J.I.B. Computer Group Co., Ltd. (JIB) to expand its World ID proof-of-human verification services to 18 JIB branches nationwide. This collaboration responds to growing demand from both businesses and the public for a secure, transparent, and user-friendly identity verification solution.

This collaboration marks a key milestone in laying the groundwork for a more secure digital ID infrastructure in Thailand. As more organizations support the adoption of proof-of-human verification, it is becoming easier for Thai people to verify their humanness with World, which serves as a crucial foundation for safe participation in today’s increasingly AI-driven world. It also helps reduce risks associated with fake bot accounts and evolving cyber threats.

JIB is one of Thailand’s most recognized IT retail chains, currently operating 134 branches nationwide. Over the years, JIB has played a key role in connecting people with cutting-edge technology. The brand’s mission is to ensure that everyone has access to tools that enhance their capabilities in the digital era. This collaboration with World represents another step forward in bringing emerging technologies designed to address critical challenges, such as distinguishing real humans from artificial intelligence (AI), closer to everyday users across the country.

In the first phase, proof-of-human verification services will be available at 18 JIB locations, including: Headquarters, Zeer Mega Shop, Central Khon Kaen, Central WestGate, Siam Paragon, Central Chonburi, Central Phuket, Central Ubon Ratchathani, Fortune Town 2, Central Phitsanulok, Central Salaya, The Mall Korat, Central Chiang Mai (Festival), ICONSIAM, Terminal 21 Pattaya, Central Hatyai, Central Ayutthaya, and Central Nakhon Si Thammarat.

World’s privacy-preserving infrastructure is built with advanced security standards. It uses iris scanning to generate a unique, non-reversible digital numerical code without storing the actual iris image or any personal data. Once the code is created, all data is immediately deleted, ensuring that no sensitive information remains in the system.  As a result of this cryptographic process, the anonymized data cannot effectively be linked back to an individual. This means a person using a verified World ID can prove they’re uniquely human online while maintaining their anonymity.

In addition, the World ID software leverages Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology, allowing users to verify their identity without revealing any personal information. Users can remain completely anonymous, as no email, phone number, or name is ever required. This makes World ID a powerful privacy-first solution in today’s digital age.

Currently, there are 53 Orb devices located throughout Thailand, enabling everyone to access identity verification more comprehensively and conveniently.

Getting started is simple. Anyone can download the World app and visit a World Space (verification point) at participating JIB stores or other locations nearby. The process is quick and straightforward, and once completed, users receive their own verified World ID — a secure, privacy-respecting digital proof-of-human that can be used across various online services.
